A non-returnable deposit 50% of the rental is required to confirm your booking.

The booking will be held for you for two weeks from the date your invoice.

For large events, a returnable damage waiver of £100 will be added to the invoice, which will be returned after the event, assuming all our booking Conditions of Hiring are adhered to and the hall returned to its pre-event condition.

The remainder of the booking fee to be paid within two weeks of the event date
Conditions of Hiring

Parties occupying the Memorial Hall (hereafter referred to as the Hirer) will be responsible for any damage which may be caused during the time of their hire. If the cost damage or remedial cleaning excedes the Waiver, then we will consult with the Hirer, and take appropriate if necessary.

The Hirer shall be responsible for the taking down of any decorations on the same day as the event. No tacks, nails, fasteners or felt pens are to be used on the floor, walls or any other parts of the building.

Please use only LOW TACK tape or blutack to fasten anything to the wall and please take care of the paintwork when removing after your decorations.

The Hirer shall leave the Hall and other rooms in a clean and tidy condition in which they found it

The Hirer shall move all crockery or other articles not belonging to the Hall shall be removed the same day as the booking.

The Hirer (and any Caterers) shall bag all rubbish and remove it to the Biffa bin located outside on the right hand side of the Hall.

The Committee accept no responsibility whatever for the loss or theft of articles deposited in the cloakrooms provided or on the premises.

No transfer from one Hirer to another can be made without the sanction of the Booking Clerk.

Not more than 150 persons are allowed on the premises for any event.

‘Dry-Ice’ and smoke machines will trigger the fire alarm and so should not be used. If you hire a disco for your event, please let them know.

The Hirer or another person nominated by the Hirer shall be responsible for reading and complying with the fire regulations and following the evacuation procedure in case of fire.

The Hirer will ensure that the stage is kept out of bounds unless specifically Please indicate on the form below if you need to use the stage during your event.

Loud music can be heard by people living close by and should not be played after 11:30pm at weekends and 10pm weekdays. Music noise levels will be monitored and must be appropriate for the location of the hall in the middle of a village. The Hirer will ensure that all external doors and windows are kept closed in order to reduce the risk of disturbance. The Hirer shall also check external noise levels at regular intervals to ensure that these are reasonable. The Hirer shall be responsible for ensuring that people are reminded to leave the building quietly at the end of an event.

Please encourage smokers to use the cigarette bins provided outside the main entrance and the back door and when you tidy up after your event please remember to sweep these areas and dispose of all stray cigarette ends.
Entry & Lighting

Source keys from committee contact if required (generally Niall or another committee member will open up for you).

Each switch denotes the area of room lighting and the switches are labelled

Kitchen Hot Water: The hot water boiler switch is located on the wall to the left of the geyser. Please ensure everything is turned off before you leave.
